Pocket springs offer very good support of the spinal column and provide excellent point elasticity.  Carbon spring steel wire springs are 'heat tempered' to set the spring for many years of use.  Each spring of 13cm height is individually encased in a non-woven fabric bag to permit maximum vertical movement.  These bags are bonded together to form a mattress designed to fit within a foam border.  Spring wire thicknesses of 1.6mm and 1.8mm are available to produce mattresses with a 'soft' and 'medium' feel.
